Environments, simulation and motion graphics — wind fields, particle systems, block studies and a couple of pieces built to do an actual job. Click any of them to play.
Notes
Mostly an excuse
Most of these began as a way to learn one specific thing. How hair particles behave under a force field. How far volumetrics go before the render times stop being reasonable. What makes footage read as found rather than merely dark — which, it turns out, is mostly the camera furniture: a timestamp, a battery icon, colour bars at the head of the tape.
The block fields and the warping geosphere are the opposite problem. No simulation to speak of, nothing to solve for — just geometry, and a lot of patience with easing curves until the motion stops looking mechanical.
Two of them are doing a job rather than showing off. The signage piece runs on placeholder copy by design: it's a display model, built so the animation can be shown with any wording dropped into it. And the Quizium logo is the site's own front door — the first thing you see at quiziumgames.com.
